HELMET DECORATION

Today is Kodomo no Hi (meaning "Children's Day") . It is a Japanese national holiday which takes place annually on May 5. We stand in our room for boys. For girls it is another day. My son is 16 years old, and he got this helmet from his father. I wish for his health and prosperity. I put on offering of rice cakes wrapped in an oak leaf though, there disappeared soon!

今日は子供の日ですね。アンジの兜を１週間前から飾りました。アンジのお父さん、セイジさんの兜です。もっといろいろお飾りがあったのですが、処分してこれだけになったので出し入れとお手入れが簡単です。アンジの健康とこれからの成長を願って柏餅をお供えしたら、あっという間に全部なくなってしまいました。
