OMESHI KIMONO

I often wear this Kimono when I teach my students Japanese dance. It is called "Omeshi". My teacher said to me, "Don't wear so expensive Kimono at the lesson!!" But I want to wear and hear rustle of it. It is so beautiful sound. It is more kind than Oshima Kimono, and more sharp than Yawarakamono Kimono. Sorry I can't explain it in English well. If you meet a woman wearing Kimono, you can hear it near her.

お召しの着物は、舞のお稽古の時によく着ます。以前、師匠に「そんないい着物をお稽古で着たらもったいない」と言われました。この着物は他の手持ちの着物の中でいちばん好きな衣擦れの音がします。シャキ、シャキッという音ですが、それは大島よりも優しく、柔らかものよりも明快な音。着物をきている人に出会ったら、ぜひ聞いてみてくださいね。
