Happy New Year With A Kimono

Happy New year! I hope you all had a great start into 2018! I had fun with friends at a New year's party in Roppongi that was filled with lights, even at night. I feel the lights were similar with reptiles. So I’m interested in sequins, which is one of the fashion trend of spring and summer 2018. Today’s kimono is also a little shiny, like reptiles. This grey fur goes well with the kimono. When I found the fur in a shop, I couldn’t decide which color, white or grey. I felt that the white one looked like a mouton rug, so I got a subdued grey one. However the grey fur was shining on top of the kimono! I styled that with other items: a bag and a obijime (like a belt of a kimono), which were one-tone. This obi is embroideried with lovely deers with an elegant twist. As a result, today’s outfit is also suitable for a dinner at a hotel. By the way, I have drawn my illustrations for Kateigahou fashion and lifestyle magazine every month since December issue last year. There are lots of traditional Japanese lifestyle articles in the magazine. I was so moved Tsujigahana kimono in the newest issue. みなさま、明けましておめでとうございます。 今年もkimonosnackをどうぞよろしくお願いいたします♡ さて私の新年ですが、大晦日に六本木のカウントダウンパーティで遊んだせいか、キラキラしたものがとても気になります。 2018年春夏の光り物は、爬虫類のような光沢のシークインアイテムが流行りそうですよ。 今日の着物のお召しは、写真では分かりづらいかもしれませんが、ほんの少し光沢があります。 グレーのファーは去年、新宿で見つけました。 色は白と迷ったのですが、ムートンラグをしょっているように見えたのでグレーにしました。 渋すぎるかなあと感じたグレーですけど、この地味なお召しの着物と相性が抜群で、帯締めとバッグの色は八掛の色に合わせて同系色のグラデーションでまとめました。最後に可愛い有栖川紋様の帯で格上げ。エレガントな中にゴージャスさも漂わせた地味派なスタイリングです。謎めいた雰囲気の夜のお食事にぴったりです。 日本の豪華ファッション誌、家庭画報の読み物ページでは挿絵の連載も始まりました。 最新号では、常磐貴子さんの辻が花のお着物姿も本当にうっとり、素敵です。 七緒別冊のムック「着物おたすけ辞典」では、ほっこりした懐かしいイラストを使っていただきました。 それでは、今年もみなさまにとって、素敵な一年になりますように♡
