Lucky Items To Give Your Home Good Vibes

Hello everyone! Happy Holidays! Today, I will share some lucky items with you. They should give your home good vibes. I had learned from famous Feng Shui masters and drawn comics and illustrations about it for Japanese magazines. Additionally, there are a lot of lucky symbols in kimono culture. Remembering them, I will show you my lovely and happy items!
みなさま、こんにちは。今回の記事は年末年始にご覧になられるかたも多いと思い、新年の運気アップしそうなラッキーインテリアのお話です。これまでファッション雑誌、美容雑誌などの体験取材で有名な風水の先生方に見ていただいた経験や着物の文様から学んだ縁起物の知識を生かして、お家に福を呼ぶラッキーアイテムをまとめてみました。

Entrance/玄関
Japanese zodiac 2023 is the year of the Rabbit, so I hung this print of painting of rabbits. People say that zodiac sign figurine in the entrance is good, so I think zodiac sign pictures or postcards are good, too! Nandina is a lucky tree in Japan. It turns misfortune into a blessing. That is "We can learn from all happening", right?
2023年は卯年。玄関の開運アイテムとして有名なのは干支の置物ですが、アートや絵葉書などもいいことがありそうな気がします。生け花は庭の南天です。南天は、「難を転ずる」といわれる縁起のいい木。起きてしまった事をいつまでも引きずっていないで、パパッと教訓にかえて前向きになることができます。

Home Office/ホームオフィス
The left picture is a self portrait. I am dedicating with a gold fan for a shrine. I feel like that Akiko is cheering for me. The right is a plum tree. I love hanging a human and plant pictures together.
オフィスには、素敵なお仕事がたくさん舞い込んできますように、と奉納舞の自画像を飾りました。金の名取り扇子が応援してくれているようです。隣には新作の梅の水墨画。人と植物を並べて飾るのが好きです。

Kitchen/キッチン
It seems that a household shrine around the water is not very suitable, but I think it is good because of the god of water. I've been able to use the kitchen cleanly while God is watching over me, although I am lazy without work. In 2022, I had some connections with shrines, and I will soon post about them on my official website.
水回りの神棚はあまりふさわしくないそうですが、水の神様がいらっしゃる洗い場に設置しています。仕事以外は怠け者なので、神様に見張られて、時には見守られながらキッチンもきれいに使えるようになりました。2022年は神社とのご縁が多く、北澤八幡様での三年ぶりの奉納舞、クロワッサン最新号で取材させていただいた福徳神社さまについてなど、近々HPにアップしますね。

Living/リビング
In the living room where families and guests come into, it seems to be a good idea to spread a rug in the center. I interpret that different energies keep good balance and connect together. It seems that everyone is having a good time. Large rugs are difficult to care for me, so I combine small rugs and hang out them in the sun often.
家族やお客様が集まるリビングには、中央にラグを敷いて気を集めるといいみたいです。みんな仲良く過ごせそう。大きいラグはお手入れが大変なので、小さいラグを組み合わせてこまめに干して使っています。

"Momoko dolls" are wearing kimono that painted lucky plants by me. The left is a pine tree, and the center is bamboo. Even in the harsh winter, we can see splendid pine and bamboo. After the cold winter, plum blossoms are the first to bloom and announce the coming of spring. I display Momoko dolls from New Year's to Hina-Matsuri ( Doll's Day or Girls' Day in Japan). When my grandson comes here, I move the dolls to the bedroom to protect from him.
おめでたい松竹梅の訪問着を着たモモコドール。左から、厳しい冬の寒さの中でも立派な松と竹。寒い冬を乗り越え、一番に咲いて春の訪れを知らせてくれる梅の花。モモコドールは、お正月からひな祭りまで飾って、孫が来た時は壊されないように寝室に移動します。

Bedroom/寝室
Houseplants and flowers in the bedroom seem to bring good luck while you sleep. I love sleeping with podcast. Occasionally, I also pamper me with drama series on iPad. Recently, I finished watching "Wednesday" in three days, so I watched Nightmare every nigh. Fortunately, I could enjoy nightmares because "Wednesday" is a very great drama!
寝室の観葉植物や生花は、寝ている間によい運気を運んでくれるそうです。寝る前は好きな香りに包まれてPodcastを聴きながら眠ります。ネット配信のドラマは、時々ならいいかなあということにしました。最近は三日で「ウェンズデー」を観終わりました。毎晩、悪夢を観ましたがとてもいいドラマだったので初めて悪夢も楽しいと思えました。

If you look into lucky charms and Feng Shui too much, you might be confused because of different interpretations depends on schools or masters.
